Take good care of your children-queen mother advises parents
The Divisional Queen Mother of Ngleshie Amanfro, Nana Tambia IV has asked parents to take good care of their children in order to secure a good future for them. She asked women to ensure that their children go to school.
These remarks were made at the residence of the Queen mother when she spoke to Journalists In Development (JID) in an exclusive interview during the Homowo festival celebrated by the chiefs and people of Ingleshie Amanfro.
She told the JID reporter, Kojo Aidoo that this year’s Homowo festival should bring a renewing of the mind for all women to help bring up their children in the best way possible without any excuses.
The queen mother spoke against teenage pregnancy, truancy leading to school drop outs, child delinquency, alcoholism, parental irresponsibility, drug abuse, among others.
She therefore asked women to protect their children from falling victim to these problems.
Nana Tambia further admonished women to desist from using unpalatable words on their children.
She advised them to speak words of blessing to the children to attract blessings for them.
Finally, Nana Tambia IV appealed to government to help provide basic infrastructure such as hospital, roads, gutters, among others for the area.
