Season One Of Next Music Sensation To Be Rolled On TV3 Screens In May
Hundreds of young and energetic talented Ghanaians converged at the premises of Swiss Alisa Hotel on Saturday April 28, 2018 to take part in the Auditioning for the season one of the Next Music Sensation TV reality show.
The new show, which will bring together the finest ‘fresh raw talents’ in the country to compete for mouth-watering prizes, saw various musicians who displayed flawless singing talents from Gospel, Highlife, Hiplife, contemporary hip-hop, Rap, Dancehall and many more.
Next Music Sensation, promises to be entertaining and intriguing bringing out the talent in the country’s youth and as well serve as a platform to unearth new talents in the creative arts industry.
In the house, the contestants are going to perform their own songs every week, and there would be evictions at the end of the week. The contestant with the lowest votes from their supporters at the end of the week will be evicted on the show day after the performances.
There will be three (3) Judges to assess the performances of the contestants every week, with one of the three being a guest judge. Thus, the audience will be seeing a different judge as the third judge every week till the show comes to an end.
The show will be aired for several weeks on TV3 from May – July, at 8:30pm.
Notable among the Judges at the audition were; Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus, a Ghanaian actor musician, music producer and a sound engineer, Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., known by his stage name Akwaboah Jnr, also a Ghanaian singer-songwriter and producer, and Juliet.
Twenty (20) Finest upcoming musicians were selected at the end of the Audition, to go into the house. The lucky ones in the area of Rap were; Gideon, Ernest, John and Isaac. For the Gospel category, Glory, Mirabel, Angel, Faustina and Remy.
The rest were Richard, Heyford, Maxwell and Chris, for the Hiplife category. And for the Afro Pop, Diana, Mary, and Werewolf. While Bernard, Rexford, Benji, and Royal got their own tickets in the Dancehall category.
